Botox is a drug that weakens or paralyzes muscles. In small doses, it can reduce skin wrinkles and help treat some medical conditions.

As a cosmetic treatment, Botox injections can reduce the appearance of skin wrinkles. The main use of Botox is to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles.

Depending on the type of treatment, the effects are temporary, lasting 3-12 months.

People often require injections in the following areas of the face:

• frown lines, frown lines, glabellar lines or freckles
• wrinkles around the eyes known as crow's feet
• horizontal wrinkles on the forehead
• lines at the corners of the mouth
• "pebble" skin on the chin

It usually takes up to 14 days for the results of a Botox session to become fully visible, but you can see results within three days of treatment.

As the procedure begins to freeze the treated areas more completely, you will notice lines softening and wrinkles diminishing in appearance.

Depending on the severity of your wrinkles and the surface area you want to treat, you may need more than one Botox session to achieve the desired results.
