Peeling

Peeling (the English word peel - remove the skin, scratch) is a procedure in dermatocosmetology for removing the upper stratum corneum of the skin with the help of various chemicals.

During peeling, the horn cells in the upper layer of the epidermis are scratched and replaced by new cells from the lower layers. At the same time, synthesis of collagen and elastin in the dermis occurs. As a result, skin rejuvenation processes are activated.

In fact, the stratum corneum of the epidermis is constantly replaced by new cells formed in the basal layer and subjected to a number of changes. However, as age increases, under the influence of various stress factors, this process slows down and the process of skin renewal is disrupted. At this time, the horn layer thickens, the skin's hydration process is disrupted, and the appearance of the skin deteriorates.

Accordingly, the various peeling procedures carried out help to renew the stratum corneum and, as a result, rejuvenate the skin.

At the same time, since the horny layer becomes thinner during peeling, the activity of fat cells becomes easier, comedones are reduced and the skin's natural radiance is restored.
